Partner Benefits Network

One digital membership card, honoured by many independent businesses — each with its own benefit, its own staff and its own redemption records.

What it is

The MemberPass Partner Benefits Network lets an organisation issue one ID membership card to its members and have local businesses honour it with their own perks — 20% off food, free entry, a free coffee. It works like a city card or destination card with partner discounts, but every business runs its own offer and every redemption is tracked.

It is available on request: the MemberPass team enables it for your organisation, and participating businesses join free through an invitation.

How it works for the network owner

Choose which of your ID membership cards the network covers; any card you leave out stays private to you. Invite businesses by email, resend or cancel invitations, and revoke or reinstate a business at any time — revoking stops its scanning immediately and keeps its history.

Your network stats show redemptions, unique members, active businesses, discount given, spend reported and overrides, filterable by card, business and date, with a 30-day trend. You can also set up or edit a business's benefit on its behalf.

How it works for participating businesses

Accept the invitation, create a free MemberPass account and add your business name — or link a business you already run on MemberPass. Set your benefit: a percentage off, an amount off, a free item or entry, or a custom offer.

Add front-desk staff from the Team page. They scan the member's wallet card QR code in any phone browser — no extra device, app or till change — see the member's name, card and validity, and tap Redeem. Front desk can scan and redeem but cannot see reports or change settings. A business can belong to several networks, each with separate benefits.

Redemption rules

Each benefit is redeemable once per card, a set number of times, or unlimited. Limits count within the benefit's validity dates, so moving the dates to a new season starts every count again. An optional total cap limits the whole offer. A benefit can apply to every card in the network or only to selected cards.

When a limit is reached, staff can still redeem at their discretion with a required reason. Front desk can override by default and the business owner can switch that off per benefit. Overrides are flagged in the business's log and the network stats, and mistaken redemptions can be voided by the business's owner or admin.

Privacy and separation

Each participating business sees only its own benefits and redemption records, never another business's. Members are not copied into the business's account: they appear only on the scan page and in that business's own redemption log. Only the organisation running the network sees totals across businesses.

No app for members

Members show the same ID membership card already in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — no new pass, no download. Cards added to the network later are scannable straight away.

Who it is for

Tourism boards and destination or city cards, chambers of commerce, trade and professional associations, unions, universities and alumni groups, employee-perks schemes, travel-agent and trade-partner programmes, and sports clubs offering member discounts with local sponsors.

Frequently asked questions

How do I run a member discount card accepted at multiple businesses?

Issue an ID membership card on MemberPass, ask us to enable the Partner Benefits Network, then invite businesses. Each sets its own benefit and redeems it by scanning the member's wallet card.

Can partner businesses scan a member's QR code with a phone?

Yes. Staff open the MemberPass scanner in any phone browser and scan the member's Apple or Google Wallet card. No extra device or app is needed.

Does each business only see its own redemptions?

Yes. A business sees only its own benefits and redemption records. The organisation running the network sees totals across all businesses.

Can a benefit be limited to once per member?

Yes. Set the limit per card to once, a number, or unlimited. Staff can redeem past a limit with a reason, and the business owner can turn that off.

How do we track redemptions across partner businesses?

Network stats show redemptions, unique members, discount given, spend reported and overrides by business, card and date.

Can we remove a business from the network?

Yes. Revoking a business stops it scanning your cards immediately. Its history is kept, and you can reinstate it later.

Does it work for chamber of commerce or employee perks schemes?

Yes. Any organisation with an ID membership card can run a network — tourism boards, chambers, associations, universities, employers and clubs.

Is the Partner Benefits Network on the free plan?

It is available on request and enabled for your organisation by the MemberPass team. Participating businesses join free. Contact us to discuss your programme.
